The Divine Mercy Art

of Thomas Canning

 — As we see Tommy, by Steve and Nancy*

And so God looked down upon His poor creation, seeking one to promulgate His greatest Act of Mercy since His Cross.

He found St. Faustina.

And then God said, who shall I use now to ensure the message I have given My secretary will be received throughout the world?

He created John Paul the Great.

But God was still in need.

Who, He wondered, could He find to portray this great Act of Mercy?

Who could depict it for Him on canvas, in ink, paper, or paint?   (to read more, click here) Steve and Nancy, Palm Springs USA

"What a wonderful site! And what wonderous artwork! I am only writing to thank you, and to say how right you are about "images!" We need the holy, beautiful ones so much! Through a long story, a few years ago I became a Byzantine Catholic. (I had always been a Roman one.) Anyway, after years of trying inside myself to fight how sterile and cold our churches had become, I was suddenly in a world where the iconostatis with all its beautiful, heavenly images called us into the divine! As you may know, for Eastern Christians, including Byzantine Catholics, the Icons are essential. They are used as "windows" into the divine world! So, please never stop your work! It is such a gift from God that you share with the world!"- Peter Alaimo, Scottsdale Arizona.U.S.A.
